Celebrating Breastfeeding Mothers

To the mammas that breastfeed for any amount of time: 1 hour, 1 day or 3 years, this week is celebrating you, your selflessness and your strength. In honor of World Breastfeeding Week, we recognize YOU 👏🏼

What was your breastmilk/feeding journey like? Mine was bumpy!! And also blissful, all at once! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 I never could have done it without the amazing support of the lactation consultants, advocates, and doulas in my community!!

Things have improved a lot since I breastfed my first baby 20 years ago but we still have work to do to give moms and babies the support they need, especially working parents!

#WorldBreastfeedingWeek2023 theme is “Enabling Breastfeeding for Working Parents” to express the importance of supporting and empowering working parents to continue breastfeeding their infants without compromising their professional responsibilities.

By fostering breastfeeding-friendly workplaces (not just places to pump- that’s great too but moms deserve more!) and promoting a positive attitude towards breastfeeding, we can make a difference for working parents and their babies.
