Connected at the Heart: Meet Our Team

Meet Jenna Schroeder: Doula, Yoga Teacher, Mother, and Lifelong Nurturer

I first met Jenna before she became a mom. We lived just a few houses apart in Hyde Park, and I had two little ones at the time. I can still picture us walking the neighborhood—me pushing a double stroller, her beside me, listening with her signature warmth and curiosity. We’d talk about motherhood, pregnancy, the changes in our bodies, our identities, and our dreams. Even back then, Jenna had a nurturing spirit. She was a safe space, a deep well of presence, and someone who made you feel like you mattered.

Over the years, Jenna became one of my very dear friends. I had the incredible privilege of being her doula for the births of three of her four children—each one born without pain medication, each birth unfolding with Jenna’s quiet strength and trust in her body. Watching her become a mother, and then watching her grow into someone who supports other women in that same transformation, has been one of the great joys of my life.

Jenna eventually trained with me and became a certified CAPPA Labor Doula. She now brings that same grounded presence she offered on those early walks into birth rooms, yoga studios, and creative spaces across our community.

Professionally, Jenna Schroeder is a woman of many gifts—but the common thread is always support, connection, and empowerment. With over 13 years of experience teaching yoga, she is certified in YogaFit and specializes in Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga. Her classes offer more than movement; they are spaces where women can reconnect with their changing bodies and find both strength and softness.

Jenna’s background also includes more than a decade of group fitness instruction in Cincinnati, six years of hands-on birth support as a certified labor doula, and even international service work supporting mothers and children in Haiti. She’s walked with women through their most vulnerable and victorious moments, and many of those connections have become lifelong friendships.

As the founder of Little Bird Press, Jenna also writes and publishes beautiful children’s books that celebrate bravery, creativity, and love. Her work as a HopeWriter continues this mission—encouraging women to take up space, use their voices, and live with intention. She currently serves as the president of the executive board at the Loveland Stage Company, where her commitment to community and creativity shines brightly.

At home, Jenna is a wife and mother to four wonderful children. She lives what she teaches: that even the smallest moments—bedtime snuggles, morning sunrises, the deep breath before the day begins—can be sacred.

We are beyond thrilled to welcome Jenna to the Nurture team. Her superpower is creating safe spaces for women to return to themselves, whether through a gentle yoga flow, a soul-deep conversation, or a moment of shared laughter. She knows, as only someone who has lived it can, that motherhood is as hard as it is beautiful. And she is here to walk with you through it all.

Welcome, Jenna. We are so lucky to have you.

By your side,
